MAXIMISE VALUE OF A LARGE NORTH AMERICAN P.E ASSET SERVICING FIRM ACQUIRED BY A EUROPEAN BASED CLIENT 

We led the development of an integration strategy for the combined organisation incorporating a one-firm operating model, product strategy, organizational structure, cultural integration, IT platforms, client cross sell & location strategy.

  • Devised an integration plan and identified €3.2MM of direct cost synergies & sales opportunities

  • Successfully launching corresponding workstreams to focus on and drive delivery
  • Developed Fund Services operations capability of low-cost location in ASIA to support EMEA location business growth
  • Defined Global Real-Estate business case – replatforming on to Yardi with defined enhanced and new product strategy

DEVISE AND DELIVER EUR 2.8M OPERATIONAL CAPACITY IN 12 MONTHS REALIZING BOARD EBITDA GROWTH STRATEGY

  • VALUE CREATION PLAN DEVELOPED FOR GLOBAL PE ASSET SERVICES PROVIDER. Developed and ran the Value Creation Efficiency Program.  Identified €2.8M annually in operational savings. Proposed VCP focus was on Luxembourg based Fund & Corporate Service operations, with 4 identified opportunities in Payments, CoSec-Admin, Cash Management & FA/TA operations

  • PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM ACQUISITION OF LARGE PE ASSET SERVICES PROVIDER. Engaged during exclusive due-diligence period to identify high potential Value Creation areas. Subsequently contracted by client to develop a Value Creation strategy and launch initiatives post acquisition close

BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION AT LEADING ALTERNATIVE ASSET SERVICES PROVIDERS

  • RESCUE FAILING PLATFORM IMPLEMENTATION. 3 years, multiple consultancies, massive overspend, <5% project objectives delivered Performed rapid project review. Devised and implemented a recovery plan, robust governance and change controls. Embedded with incumbent team to deliver new platform and live operations, migrating 8 offices (+200funds, +350 users),   across EMEA and APAC, entire Fund Admin and Investor Services business line

  • RESTRUCTURE & FUNCTIONALISE GLOBAL PE ASSET SERVICES PROVIDER. Determined the optimal End State operating model and managed the smooth transition of Luxembourg operations to the new organisational structure. Ensured minimal disruption to client servicing and employees  (450+ FTE). Completed within 6 months

  • ENGAGED BY A LEADING REAL ESTATE ASSET MANAGER TO ESTABLISH A TREASURY FUNCTION. Initiation of Green field design and implementation of a Treasury Management Solution. RFP and market leading platform selection, full cross-functional operational and technical integrated solution, connecting +120 banks (6,300 accounts), paperless payments, enhanced cash, liquidity and cash management capabilities, introducing in house banking to optimize negative interest rate exposure.  Streamlining automated Treasury and finance processes to scale operations of +100K Transactions volume per year covering US, EMEA and ASIA

Digitisation & Technology

IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES TO LEVERAGE EXISTING TECHNOLOGY ASSETS TO DELIVER VALUE AS OPPOSED TO STARTING OUT ON THE SAME JOURNEY AGAIN.
Much of the technology is now mature, robust and commoditised. Finding the right technology that matches to your business needs is a challenge, ensuring that it is implemented and successfully adopted is not a secondary after thought.
  • ERP PLATFORM WAS LABELED AS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND HAS RFP’D TO REPLATFORM TO ANOTHER PROVIDER. System health check identified that the existing platform had not been configured to the business and operations model.  An optimisation program was launched that first discovered and prioritised pain points, development of a new reporting suite and  target operating model changes delivered a sustainable platform solution, enhanced experience and service delivery

  • LEGACY CoSec OPERATIONS. Over reliant on legacy manual tooling (Excel, Word, Email) that was no longer scalable and highly exposed to operational risk that were causing repetitive service delivery issues (Quality and Time).  Deployment of    Off the shelf Legal entity management, boardroom, signatures, integrated process workflow
